As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I believe everyone deserves a safe space to be heard, supported, and understood. Reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns, and I strive to create a warm, relaxed, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping each person find balance, healing, and emotional wellness at their own pace.

It's frustrating when you're trying your hardest to keep life together, but your mind and body just won't cooperate. Maybe ADHD makes it difficult to finish what you start, you're lying awake at night replaying everything that went wrong, or stress builds until you snap at someone you love and immediately regret it. Perhaps you're grieving someone, living with a chronic health condition, or carrying painful memories that leave you constantly on edge, even when there's no obvious reason to feel unsafe. I want to help you understand what's happening beneath the surface, feel less controlled by your emotions, and finally experience some relief from everything you've been carrying.

Sometimes you don’t need someone to tell you what’s wrong—you already know something isn’t working. You may be overwhelmed, exhausted from holding everything together, struggling to quiet your mind, or simply tired of feeling like you should be doing better than you are. Therapy can be a place to finally put some of that down.

I’m LaToscha Sherman, MS, LPC, and my style is warm, conversational, curious, and practical. You don’t have to show up with the perfect words or know exactly what you want to work on. We can figure that out together. I believe therapy should be a space where you don’t have to leave parts of yourself at the door. Your culture, family, faith, identity, responsibilities, and the expectations you’ve learned to carry all matter here.

I work with adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with people who are used to being the strong, capable, dependable one—the person everyone else counts on—but privately feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply tired. If you’ve gotten really good at showing up, achieving, adapting, or being what different spaces require of you, therapy can be a place where you don’t have to perform.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. We’ll spend time understanding not just what you’re experiencing, but why certain patterns keep showing up and what you can actually do differently. My goal isn’t for you to stay in therapy forever. I want you to understand yourself better, develop tools that work in your real life, and feel more confident navigating life outside of our sessions.
